Master of Marine Science and Management 

I studied the Master of Marine Science and Management at the University of Sydney in 2016/17 with a focus on Coastal Management and Geographic Information Systems. The best aspects of the course for me were the ability to study across partnering universities, and the Topic of Australian Marine Science unit held at the Sydney Institute of Marine Science. These opportunities allowed me to experience diversity in what I was learning and who I met along the way, enhancing the depth of my experience.

Currently, I use my science background and GIS skills as a Senior Project Officer in the NSW Government, working on the Sharing and Enabling Environmental Data (SEED) Portal. I work to improve the availability, accessibility, and usability of environmental data in NSW so it can be utilised by anyone for scientific research and decision making.

I am proud of the service I provide to NSW and the knowledge gained from my master’s is an integral part of this.
