October 1 @ 4:00 pm – 5:30 pm
Join us for the Marine Studies Institute’s annual flagship multidisciplinary event, bringing together voices from Indigenous leadership, Sea Country management, conservation, education, and research to explore our relationship with the ocean.
This year’s theme, Stories of Sea Country through Indigenous Voices, will explore the environmental and cultural dimensions of caring for Sea Country, the continuation of cultural practices and knowledge, and the importance of education and empowerment for future generations.
Through an engaging panel conversation, speakers will share diverse perspectives and experiences, creating space for discussion around how Indigenous knowledge, culture, research, and conservation can contribute to thriving oceans and communities.
